GRACeWORKS ANNOUNCEMENT
About us
MissionThe mission of MOTHER OF WISDOM is to act as a resource for families to help them learn how to pray using Traditional Christian Church prayers... Our belief is that the family that prays together stays together.
GoalThe goal of "MotherofWisdom.com" is to act as a provider of traditional Christian Church prayers in the form of beautiful sacred artistic Illuminated Manuscript prayer cards.
GRACeWORKS was established in 2008 with the understanding that "Everyone needs a little Grace in their lives" and that we are called to serve in the spirit of truth.
GRACeWORKS published "MotherofWisdom.com" to act as a site for source material of traditional Christian Church prayers in the form of Illuminated Manuscripts presented as sacred artwork.
We believe sacred art draws us to adoration, to prayer, and to the love of God, Creator and Savior, the Holy One and Sanctifier.
What is prayer?
Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God, or the petition of good things from him in accord with his will.It is always the gift of God who comes to encounter man. Christian prayer is the personal and living relationship of the children of God with their Father who is infinitely good, with his Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit who dwells in their hearts. Prayer is also an act of worship and can be a tool for ministry.
What We Believe
THE APOSTLE'S CREED has been handed down to us from the Apostles themselves, hence the name. It is the shortest of the three creeds, and undoubtedly the best known, as it is the simplest profession of the Catholic and Apostolic Faith. The Apostle's Creed contains all the articles the other ones have, though in a very simplified form. This is the Creed which forms the basis for our Catechisms...
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
